SRILANKA, THE FINAL JINX...

One thing is almost certain come the world cup. our lions would blaze a trail through the quarters and the semis..as they have done time and again with relish and gusto..yet only to falter ,stumble and fall in another one of those too-painful-to-remember -finals..

i cant think of another outfit like us who have almost had it many times over. we the sri lankans gotta be the most shell shocked lot in the galaxy..

it ain't a thing to blame our lion-hearts who fight like the namesake when the going gets tough, its the sheer coincidence of some magical knock from someone who smashes in out of nowhere ,who takes the game away from us..from the jaws of victory... the inimitable Gilchrist moment .
its this phenomenon which makes the team look ordinary in the final. when most of the time the things seem to work our way..all of a sudden the cyclone .lashes in to blow it all away.
we got to get out of the final jinx.. the one that robbed us many a piece of metal and silver enough to fill one more cupboard at
 SRI LANKA CRICKET. but the real issue is how .
fate seems to have a thing with us ,no matter what the plan has in store for us.

yet the lions always climb the mountain, claw their way over perilous cliffs and reach the summit...well almost..
YET ..its gotta happen. and better be soon enough..
fortune favors the brave.. and we've had enough of second best....
