                           Serendib International Cup

 Serendib International cup is a XV side Rugby tournament between Srilanka, Poland and Madagascar. The tournament will be held in Sri Lanka from 26 October to 1st November at Colombo Racecourse Ground. The tournament will provide an invaluable platform to step up in performance and ranking for all three Unions as well as the opportunity for the emerging nations to play internationals matches outside of their own region.
 
 
The three participating unions are high performance emerging nations with the sport having an ever growing presence. The competition comes as all three unions are still in the process for qualifying for a place in the 2015 Rugby World Cup.


The Polish Rugby Union and Madagascar Rugby Union have released the names of their respective national rugby squads for the first-ever IRB sanctioned 15's rugby tournament.
The names released of the Polish squad are, Craig Bucharzewski, Adrian Chróściel, Bartosz, Paweł Dąbrowski, Karol Perzak, Piotr Zeszutek, Marek Płonka jr, Mateusz Bartoszek, Cyprian Majcher, Stanisław Niedźwiedzki, Rafał Janeczko, Dawid Banaszek, Dawid Lorentowicz, Marek Przychodzki, Rafał Szrejber, Robert Pawelec, Tomasz Rokicki, Szymon Sirocki, Tomasz Gasik, Sebastian Łuczak and Robert Kwiatkowski.

The Madagascar is represented by Rantoniaina Hasina Rakotoarivelo, Christian Jean Felix Andrianjaka, Maroson Vonjiniaina Andriamananjara, Dimbiniaina Jean Willy Rabemananjara, Rodolphe Randriamanantena, Hajanirina Randrianambinina, Ratsimba Tolotra Ramaromiantso, Tahina Hery Zo Randrianarisoa, Maminandrasana Solomampionona, Tolotra Claudio Ravelonomenjanahary, Guy Rolland Randriamiarana, Nirina Jacky Bayard, Romuald Rafaralahy, José Rakoto Harison, Juliot Mahavy, Deraniaina Rakotozafy, Alain Rakotonirina, Serge Rajoelina, Benjaniaina Mandimby Rakotoarivelo, Soloniaina Herizo Rasoanaivo, Bernard Razafindranaivo, Tiana Nirina Ravelomanantsoa, Tolotra Mampionontsoa Rakotoson, Michael Raharijaona , Joseph Berthin Rafalimanana , Laurent Simon Ranaivoarivelo, Canitrot Philippe, Victor-lie Andriavelomanana and Marcel Joseph Rakotomalala
      Namal Rajapaksa has been named as the captain of the Sri Lankan team ahead of the tournament while Ronnie Ibrahim is appointed as the coach.

 Match #2:
Madagascar v Poland: 29th October 2013 (Tuesday) at 5.30pm (under lights)
 Match #3:
                                                  Sri Lanka v Poland: 1st November 2013 (Friday) at 7.30pm

  2. Srilanka no doubt can boast of a highly talented line up in school rugby. the biggest curse on our rugby is the undisciplined parents and the old boys under the influence who have done plenty last year to tarnish the muddy but beautiful game
